Transforming the Heart of the Home

 At Elite Kitchens and Interiors Ltd., every project begins by understanding how our clients want to live in their home. For this renovation, the homeowner’s priority was clear: create a larger, more practical kitchen while retaining both a downstairs WC and dedicated utility area.

To achieve this, we completely reimagined the ground floor layout.

Rather than simply extending downstairs, we relocated the kitchen to the opposite end of the house where the toilet and utility once were.  This allowed us to design a spacious kitchen that not only offered significantly more room for cooking and entertaining but transformed the way the customer used the space every day.

The original kitchen area was cleverly repurposed to accommodate a downstairs WC alongside a practical utility space. This created a dedicated area for laundry and household essentials without compromising valuable living space.

One of the biggest improvements was the flow of the home. Previously access to the downstairs toilet and utility required walking through the kitchen, interrupting the main living space. By re-designing the layout, the WC and utility were now positioned independently, while the kitchen now had its own dedicated access. The result was a far more intuitive and functional floor plan that enhanced both privacy and convenience.

This transformation demonstrates how thoughtful design can completely change the feel of a home. By reconfiguring the existing footprint rather than simply adding space, we created a layout that is brighter, more practical, and perfectly tailored to our client’s lifestyle.
